Rush Limbaugh is an anti-intellectual fat snob who deserves nothing less than the constant shun of every community he claims to be a part of as well as the intellectuals whom he despises so. He shows an incredible misunderstanding of science and basically everything else in reality.

In an article of his, he talks about the Higgs boson and completely distorts what the Higgs boson actually is. It’s not a particle to prove god. It’s something that exists in the insane field of quantum physics. The physics of how things work at a sub-atomic level. Quantum physics is largely theoretical, so we’re still trying to directly prove something that we know exists via mathematics.

But what is it?

Just like the Disco tute’s blind Wedge Document, a broader detailing of the Wedge Strategy, I’ve made up my own legal term: Now the Candle Burns at both Ends.

But what does it mean?

The term mutually assured destruction is one that I would reference. The reason why the US doesn’t destroy Russia or Russia the US is because they know that whoever made the move first would have started a war that ends in nuclear war. At least, this seems likely. Nuclear war means no more humans. Instead of one losing the battle, they both lose out. That’s the basic tenant of mutually assured destruction.

The claim that archeoraptor is a fake is completely true — no BS there. But what they won’t mention is other “missing links” like Archaeopteryx. Hell, they also won’t mention things like Tiktaalik, Archaeothyris, or Ambulocetus, but it’s probably safe to say they don’t believe in any of them.

There’s a very tentative list of transitional fossils at Wikipedia that shows that there is certainly one or more transition out there.

What they fail to mention is that archaeoraptor wasn’t even thought to be anything by the scientific community because no one had even studied it. Once someone got the chance to study it, the fossil was quickly found out to be fake. Fake in the sense that the fossil hunter had likely placed the bones of two species together unknowingly. This all happened in less than one year. Archaeopteryx, on the other hand, has been known since 1862 and is most definitely not a fake.

For more information on archaeoraptor, click here.

Kirk Cameron is a failure, added to the list of many who have been quickly proven wrong with some simple knowledge. In fact, I’ve never heard one convincing creationist argument against evolution — and with good reason — because there isn’t one.

I’m making a list of the creationist failures. This can be considered post one of the series, so congrats to our number one:

  1. Kirk Cameron

Also, Darwinism doesn’t exist. Any atheist involved in evolutionary theory would know this, plus the guy at the end was looking at something a few different times that seemed to catch his interest. He was reading from a teleprompter. Yeah, failure.

Being the ├╝ber liberal (read: moderate) I am, I like sites such as fstdt and recently I found one thing of interest: Baptists for Brown 2008. As crazy as it sounds, the idea that the sun is the center of the solar system isn’t welcome there… Needless to say, neither is evolution.

It really looks like a parody, and believe me, I would be happy if it were… But I can’t tell. I looked for a disclaimer but couldn’t find any, so if someone could point one out, that’d be cool. Still, I’ve not much else to say on this wonderful phenomenon except…

Why don’t they hate me?

We’re using the same blogging system (WordPress.com!) and I’m a heavily controversial plus moderately popular blogger in support of evolution, atheism, and other true science, whilst at the same time dispelling religion, IDiots, and various other nonsensical belief systems.

That should be worse than a random gay guy, right? Oh wait, that’s the ultimate sin in Christianity… Well, luckily, I’m that too! So they’ve every (read: none at all) right to attack me vehemently.

Ah well, maybe they’ll notice my blog and put me on notice with bears thanks to the pingback directed at them. Until then, we wait…!

Dallas Ellis, who two months ago stood up and gave an awesome example of evolution, is clearly one of the finest minds of our time. Of course oranges are related to us! Of course that orange is someone’s pet’s mother!

Or not.

The sheer ignorance in his argument is enough to make me want to vomit out of sheer disgust. This happened two months ago and still makes me wonder: what is so hard to understand about evolution? Really?

Still, it’s amazing that he’s such a prime example of Floridian genius. Congrats, Mr. Ellis, for you’ve beaten us. We now see how utterly silly and barbaric the theory of evolution truly is. In fact, you just turned one hundred fifty years of scientific knowledge into a big pile of bullshit. Yes, evolution is a lie! We’ve been caught! Now the godheads will win the war against us god-hating liberals!

A scientists job is never done. (or in this case an aspiring scientist)

Recently a user who identified as a hardcore Christian (6000 year old Earth, literal Bible, evolution disbelief) posted two comments here. As all of the comments posted here have to be moderated, I debated myself for a few minutes before deciding to not let them pass.

Why I did this was rather complicated. If my blog were bigger and there were a bunch of people here that could engage in debates, I would have let it pass, regardless of content. In this case, I got one ROTFLMAO from the user (yes, “T” included) over the idea of “macro evolution” (which doesn’t exist). Also included was the notion that evolution was a “belief” (I don’t believe the user said such directly, but it was hinted at), and the thought that we should teach both sides because whenever you get one side, it’s propaganda.

Well, he’s sort of right.

Thanks to a cool dude known as Phil Plait, I’ve found a lot of things I wouldn’t have otherwise. These things include people. Some of these people include…

  • James Randi, and
  • PZ Myers

I know — I’m sort of a n00b at this. I knew about Dawkins from other things, such as South Park’s parody and a friend of mine from Vegas by the name of Danny. So I’m not completely out of the loop, I like to think. Just a wee bit behind, but it seems once I found these people I couldn’t get away from them… which is a good thing!
