On FSTDT, we have our own saying that we took from futurama. When a fundie explains evolution or the big bang wrong, as not a single one of them has gotten it right, we say that or a variation thereof. For instance: the big bang does not work that way!
Evolution explains something observed in nature: species are not fixed. Through different environments in nature, species adapt over time into completely new types of animal. Or just die out, but the ones we care about are the ones that adapted.
Anyway, evolution seems to be a pretty simple concept, yes? Well, groups like Answers in Gensis have been fighting it since like the 1980s and still don’t have a firm grasp on it.
To avoid quote mining, here is the whole quote:
God has made an almost incomprehensibly complex creation for scientists to study. Though lots of questions remain, two things are clear. One, true science powerfully confirms the literal truth of Genesis chapters 1–11. Two, evolutionary stories are fatally flawed in explaining the cosmos, the rock layers of the earth with their fossils, and the origin and diversity of living things. Of course, that is no big surprise, since the Bible is the inerrant propositional revelation of the Creator.
Evolution explains the variation of life on Earth. Not the cosmos. Not the rock layers. Not the origin of life.*
So, you know, I think we have yet another creationist failure for our list. Nah, I’m sure of it. Welcome Dr. Terry Mortenson from Answers in Stupidity!

*PZ Myers disagrees with this assertion; claiming that abiogenesis has a huge role in evolution. In all honesty, it does, but that isn’t the main tenant of evolution in respect tow hat these people claim.

Evolutionists trying to set the record straight on defining “evolution”…You playing too much with words…The very word “nature” as defined also has multiple meanings which includes “the universe, with all its phenomena.”
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/nature
The evolution has more than one meaning itself…
any process of formation or growth; development
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/evolution
So if a creationist uses “evolution” in a general sense, he can refer to other subjects such as, Astrobiology, astrophysics, and so on as evolution.
Either you don’t have a firm grasp or the dictionaries don’t have a firm grasp…lol
God created the sea monsters, God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good. Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind”; and it was so. God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:24-25
Over and over in Divine truth we read this phrase “after their kind”. One almost comes to the conclusion that “ok we get the point” kind of thinking. Why out of His eternal genius would the Holy Spirit decide to use this phrase so many times?? He knew that truth shortly after He inspired these words would be under attack and would remain under attack until the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Yet lets look at this phrase for a second. God created each species of animal after their own kind. So God did not create 1/2 fish 1/2 birds/ He did not create 1/2 man 1/2 primate. The Bible is clear that God created each living creature after their kind. Now there existed a gene pool within each kind if you will. The potential for a many variety of dogs existed within the created dog, and we see the results of this today. We see many varities of dogs, my mom has a poodle that drives me crazy. Yet we never see in the fossil record or from any other evidence, a dog transitioning into a cat. God out of His creative genuis confined the species to be able to breed only within a given species. Never do we see a giraffe being able to breed with a donkey. God has set boundaries.
Natural Selection as coined by the evolutionist is the process that removes qualities that are less favorable for the conditions and as a result new spieces are formed.
Natural selection is the process by which favorable heritable traits become more common in successive generations of a population of reproducing organisms, and unfavorable heritable traits become less common, due to differential reproduction of genotypes. Over time, this process may result in adaptations that specialize organisms for particular ecological niches and may eventually result in the emergence of new species. In other words, natural selection is the mechanism by which evolution may take place within a given population of organisms.
Never have we seen in the fossil record or from the naked eye emergence of new species. http://www.icr.org/natural-selection/ The battle for truth is still being waged
Oh no someone has figured out the great evolution lie and has come to destroy us all!
Idiot.
You know nothing of evolution and have no desire to learn anything about it because you’re afraid of what you consider ‘the dark’. I will say again: idiot.
