Seems to me that if you’re going to produce an individual blog, you should do it first and foremost because you enjoy it, irrespective of how many people read what you write. A lot of worthwhile writing gets very little readership for many reasons — not least because of the vast hordes who are doing it.

You have already made yourself something of a laughingstock. You claim to have “worked hard”, but your 15 minutes (second?) of fame are based purely on begging PZ Myers to notice you. It worked! But if I had to engage in the same nepotism and cronyism to get noticed, then I think I will stay unnoticed.

How much of this traffic do you think you will retain after the majority of your visitors tire of your narcissistic little stunt?
